I am doing a bungee jump on Saturday the 19th September 2009. I would really appreciate if you could donate some money to charity so I can't back out at the last minute.

I completed my bungee jump (not quite sure how I managed it). You can see video evidence of my sheer terror here. Would I do it again? Definitely. Would I look like a complete idiot again? Completely.
On The List
A bungee jump is on my list of 'things to do before I die'. It's a real list which includes such things as 'drive a really fast car' and 'go on a cruise', but I didn't think anyone would sponsor two weeks floating in the Mediterranean.
I have a fear of heights, but the most frightening part is throwing myself head first towards the ground from a 170ft drop... and I don't want to end up like this guy.
This is something I want to do, but I need a bit of courage and a reason to throw myself off the platform. Otherwise I'll be phoning in sick!
Local Charity
I don't want to waste the opportunity to raise cash for St. Andrew's Hospice. It is the only Hospice in Lanarkshire where I grew up and it's a big area to cover.
For a small charity it achieves a huge amount and could do with as much money as it can get.
The Hospice provides palliative care for terminally ill patients, day care and a home care service. It offers degree level education to nurses and counselling to both patients and relatives. Their doors are open to anyone and everyone.
I know people who have been patients, and you never know, I may end up in there one day myself.

Alternatively you can give me some cash the next time you see me in the pub! I'll even give you a wee receipt and put it on the website for you!
